Melissa is CEO and Founder of Hillpoint Properties and earned her Independent Rental Owner Professional (IROP), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) and is a member of Apartment Association of Greater Dallas (AAGD), the Texas Apartment Association (TAA), and the National Apartment Association (NAA). Melissa obtained a Bachelor's degree in Art Education, and continued on to earn a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Melissa was a teacher for 14 years before transitioning into technology. Thanks to passive real estate income, Melissa was able to retire from her W-2 job as of December 2018, and now focuses full time on real estate investing. Melissa previously held a Texas Realtors license. Melissa can be described as a team player looking for win win situations while accomplishing set goals.
